
To make the salad bearable, I added some cut-up chicken leftover to it. But that wasn't enough. I needed something sweet and something crunchy. So, I incorporated some sliced pears and topped it with sliced almonds. They you have it. My lazy Saturday lunch.
While it was decent, I'm still not a convert though. But I still have a big container of lettuces in the fridge. Like it or not, I will need to eat them before they go bad. Who knows one day I might have a change of heart. But I highly doubt it. And for dinner tonight, I had pizza—Vegetable pizza. So it couldn't be that bad, right? Especially since I had a bowlful of salad for lunch ;-)
your salad is full of color, very healthy dan cantik sangat. kalau kaktek buat, mau nangeh org rumah ni tak kenyang.. haha.

ReplyDeleteSaya pon tak suka lettuce (dan salad sebenornye). Kalo lepas makan salah macam salad T tu, 5 minit lepas tu mesti meroyan nak makan nasi beriani. Perut stress.

Yeah, the gambar turned out good despite not really into them. I think that might be the reason why it turned out well. Usually, I would want to eat the food right away and forgetting to take the photo until halfway through it. I didn’t have the issue with this. Salad can wait :-)

ReplyDeleteHuh! To me it's one of the healthiest food and easy to prepare..I love to add anything I could find in my fridge..fruits, nuts or pasta.
Anyway, yours looks yummy to me!!
It is healthy and easy. Fruits and nuts do give salad a little boost to my palate Sometimes I forgot about the leaves altogether. .
