Happy Holidays!

I finally use the Butternut Squash to make cheesecake. It was gone awhile ago. I don't remember when.

As you know we are approaching the end of the year. Well, well, well… where did the year go? This year has been good for me. I got to visit my friends in the West Coast, as well as, in the East Coast. I went to see three Broadway Musicals so far (I still have a few weeks to see more ;-p). I bought 5 new All-Clad pans.

Did I mention that I bought 5 new All-Clad pans? I was grinning from ear to ear for days. Unlike other people who got good deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, mine happened a week later. While sometimes I complained about living in the middle of nowhere, but lucky for me, my middle of nowhere is near the All-Clad plant, which has factory sales twice a year. Lucky me!

Hope good things are coming your way too. Happy Holidays!

    1. Orang Texas kaya boleh beli from Williams Sonoma ke Macy's =)
Hajatnya nak beli satu atau dua je, tapi rambang mata, terbeli lebih. The biggest deal for me was Copper Core Dutch Oven with lid. Suggested retail price was $360; it is sold for $450 at WS; i bought it for $149.99. Yang lain semua about 50% off which come up to below $100 each.

  2. I'm not sure how you came about your dishes, but if they are second-hand you should know that out of print Corelle dishwear is very trendy and sought-after. Certain patterns (like the green flowered ones I had growing up) are more popular and desirable, but everyone seems to have their favorite to collect. And here I thought my parents were total squares in the kitchen department....

    1. My dishes are surprisingly are a mixture of hands-me downs, gifts, and ikea. I haven't thought about collecting them yet. I really like the antiques dishes, just don't think it is practical for day-to-day use. But that would be really nice. One of this days,,,,
As for now, I'm focusing on cooking stuff. I will start looking for good knives and chopping board too. By the way, if you are ever in PA when the all-clad factory sale is on, you should really check it out. It's really really worth it. I might go again next summer.

    2. I don't know what Marshall's dish department is like there, but I have gotten multiple all-clad frying pans there, as well as a really nice german chopping knife, and a le creuset dutch oven at very serious discounts.
